In 2008, State and Territory Governments agreed to establish a national scheme for the registration and accreditation of health professionals. Under this agreement, each State and Territory is required to devise a model for complaints and disciplinary actions, reviews of registration decisions and for appeals. This paper discusses various options under consideration by the professions, the Tasmanian Government and other key stakeholders and encourages submissions about those options by 29 May 2009.
