Most grant funding we distribute to the community sector and other non-government organisations helps provide long term services.
This funding is administered by the Grants Unit.
We do not usually grant funding to unsolicited applications, nor do we hold regular funding rounds. We usually advertise funding rounds in each of the Tasmanian daily papers.
From time to time, other State Government funding programs will make one-off funding available to community organisations. Information about some of these is available online:
- The Community Support Levy has regular funding rounds.
- The Tasmanian Community Fund regularly advertises its grant funding programs in Tasmanian newspapers.
- The Office of Youth Affairs Services provides funding for youth related programs at www.dpac.tas.gov.au/divisions/cdd/ocya.
- The Tasmanian Government Office (Canberra) maintains an extensive federal funding database at www.dpac.tas.gov.au/divisions/tgo, which summarises information on about 400 Australian Government funding programs.
