Directions Paper now available
The Department of Health and Human Services is currently reviewing Tasmania’s Disability Services Act 1992.
The legislation is being reviewed to ensure that it reflects contemporary practice in the provision of services to people with a disability.
The Department is now seeking comments from interested parties, including people with a disability, their families and carers and the organisations that support them.
A Directions Paper is available, and provides a broad outline of the proposed content and structure of the new legislation.
The Directions Paper has been released to encourage community feedback and discussion.
You may wish to comment on some or all of the questions raised, or identify additional issues for consideration.
