Housing Tasmania recognises that to provide sustainable housing and sustainable communities for our clients, the government can not work alone.
One strategy to address this is the development of partnerships and alliances, both internally and with the community, to maintain and enhance existing services, and to find innovative and creative approaches to meeting need.
Research demonstrates that the most successful working relationships are those built on a common understanding and commitment to major objectives.
People working together with a clear understanding of the motivation, expectations and aspirations of each other are better placed to get things done.
Housing Tasmania believes that local communities are much better at identifying local problems and local solutions than governments or big businesses. Supporting local communities is a key activity of Housing Tasmania, throughout the state.
Housing Tasmania also works in partnership with a number of community groups to provide services for people on low incomes or to plan our services and directions.
