Tasmania Together

Tasmania Together was launched in September 2001 and is a statewide, 20-year plan that sets the future direction for Tasmania. The plan comprises 24 goals and 212 benchmarks that are grouped under five themes:

  • Community
  • Culture
  • Democracy
  • Economy
  • Environment

Tasmania Together is a community owned vision for the State developed with broad community consultation. Successful implementation will depend on government, industry and the community working together to achieve the goals.

DHHS is a key contributor to Tasmania Together and is coordinating and contributing to nearly 30 indicators and targets. The Agency is leading the implementation of the Healthy Lifestyles cluster and is a significant contributor to the Poverty, Community Safety, Employment and Environment clusters.

Tasmania Together 10 year review

Community consultation has begun as part of the 10 year review of Tasmania Together.

The review provides an opportunity for the Tasmania Together Progress Board to hear from the community and respond to any changes in community priorities.

Tasmanians are encouraged to provide feedback by 13 December 2010 on what matters to them and their families now, and what will be important over the next 10 years.

Feedback options include a questionnaire, written submission, providing comments by telephone, and via community forums (being held around the State until mid-November).

Full details of the review are on the Tasmania Together website.
