The Statewide Systems Development Group (SSD) develops strategies to
foster an integrated healthcare delivery system, capable of meeting the
health needs of the community that we serve, today and into the future.
We accomplish our purpose through partnerships with other
business units within the Agency and with key stakeholders in the
General Practice Tasmania Network, the University of Tasmania, and
consumer representatives across the state.
The Group is structured as follows:
Operational Units
- Mental Health and Statewide Services
- Health and Wellbeing Services
Departmental Units
The SSD is responsible for the coordination and communication of progress against Tasmania’s Health Plan, including:
- keeping stakeholders informed of the implementation of the Plan;
- encouraging and enabling stakeholder involvement in the implementation of the Plan; and
- building and sustaining support for the Plan.
The SSD also leads the implementation of Tasmania’s Health Plan in a number of areas, including:
- developing
Tasmania’s Integrated Care Centres, the prevention and management of
chronic disease, and Primary Health Partnerships across Tasmania’s
health system;
- establishing Agency-wide consumer engagement policies and processes; and
- supporting Partners in Health, the strategic partnership with the University of Tasmania Faculty of Health Science.
We
seek to provide quality services to our internal and external customers
and to support continuous improvement and development.
