Housing Tasmania
Housing Tasmania works in partnership with many other organisations and individuals to provide housing which enhances the health and well being of Tasmanians.
Housing Tasmania's vision is Sustainable Homes, Sustainable Communities. This vision is shared by all Housing Tasmania staff and was jointly developed by staff in 2001. This vision is supported by our policies and procedures.
To reach our vision of Sustainable Homes, Sustainable Communities, Housing Tasmania actively consults our partners and tenants and shares information on an ongoing basis.
This consultation helps us to plan and to provide services and support that are as effective as possible.
Housing Tasmania is also actively involved in research relating to housing provision in Tasmania.

Providing homes is much more than providing bricks and mortar. To be effective, Housing Tasmania works in partnership with our clients and other service providers to provide housing options and opportunities that improve people's quality of life in a broader social context.

Housing Tasmania staff have for a long time shared a vision for the future of housing in Tasmania. That vision is for housing for all Tasmanians that is affordable, appropriate, accessible, healthy, supportive, suitable, viable, secure, high quality and comfortable. The word "sustainable" captures all of these properties.
