Housing Tasmania each year sells a number of houses and vacant land; for a list of all properties currently for sale, click here.
The properties are offered for sale through real estate agents in Tasmania. Offers are to be lodged with the listing agents.
Some properties however are offered for sale to Tasmanians on low income and moderate incomes to assist them into home ownership. These properties are being offered for sale on the condition that preference to purchase will be given to Tasmanians eligible to purchase through the Streets Ahead Incentive Program (SAIP) or HomeShare. If no eligible person submits an acceptable offer, all other offers will be considered, but none necessarily accepted.
All monies generated by the sale of Housing Tasmania properties are re-invested to upgrade existing properties or acquire new properties that better meet the needs of Housing Tasmania's current and future clients.
