Facilities Management
The Facilities Management Unit is responsible for the planning, delivery and management of the Department’s asset portfolio. To provide optimal support and amenity to staff and clients in a manner that minimises total (capital and lifecycle) costs consistent with the delivery of quality services and compliance with relevant codes, regulations and statutes.
The key roles of the Unit are:
- strategic asset management and planning;
- developing and delivering the DHHS Capital
Works program; - promoting and supporting the efficient and effective use of DHHS assets;
- managing risk associated with DHHS assets;
- managing external interfaces, compliance and Whole of Government direction in property and land management;
- managing specified buildings and providing
specified accommodation services; - provision of specialist advice and consultancy
services; and - motor vehicle fleet management.
