We are committed to engaging Tasmanian’s in decisions about their health and wellbeing.

By engaging with you we will better understand our activities from your point of view. This will help us provide services that better meet your needs.

As part of this process, we have developed Your Care, Your Say: Consumer and Community Engagement Strategic Framework and Action Plan.

People-centred approaches accept an individual's health and social care are based on a service provider and user sharing power and responsibility. This results in better health and human services for the consumer.

We have now joined the United Kingdom, Canada and other Australian states and territories in involving consumers in decisions about their own care and support as well as health planning, policy development, service design.
