Community Health Services Group

The Community Health Services Group provides flexible, innovative and responsive primary health, population health and community support services.

These services are delivered at local, district and whole-of population levels through five units:

A primary objective of the strategic grouping of business units is to ensure the coordination and integration of services to meet the needs of clients with complex and continuing needs. This grouping also reflects a focus on the needs of people in rural and remote communities as well as the population health needs of Tasmanians generally. It also enables the Output Group to effectively integrate Department priorities and whole-of-government initiatives such as Tasmania Together and the partnerships program with Local Government, regional authorities and other key stakeholders.
