Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the services provided by the Department.

Volunteer action is especially important for those who depend on the care of others for whatever reason – the aged and frail, children and young people finding their way, people living in remote areas of Tasmania, or people unable to fend for themselves.

This year we feature Community Transport Service Tasmania (CTST); this is a service run under Home & Community Care (HACC) a joint Federal and State Government initiative.

The service gives its clients access to transport which enables them to go shopping, take part in excursions and travel into town.
