Ambulance Tasmania

Ambulance Tasmania publishes a copy of the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Paramedics and Intensive Care Paramedics and the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Retrieval Paramedics (the "CPGs") and the Clinical Field Protocols for Volunteer Ambulance Officers (the "CFPs") as a smartphone App for use by Ambulance Tasmania staff while on duty.

  • You can download the App itself onto your mobile device over 3G/4G, but you must be connected to Wi-Fi to download/refresh the content.
  • Once the content has been downloaded, you do not require 3G/4G or Wi-Fi access to use the App. You will need a Wi-Fi connection in order to update the content if a new version is published by Ambulance Tasmania.
  • To avoid any possibility of excess download charges, you should only download/refresh the content when connected to a DHHS Wi-Fi hotspot. You cannot download or refresh content over 3G/4G.

You can download the CPG App for iPhones, Android devices and Windows Mobile devices from the Vortilla Digital download portal.

If you are experiencing difficulties with downloading or using the CPG App, please go to the troubleshooting page.

Ambulance Tasmania's Clinical Practice Guidelines and Clinical Field Protocols are expressly intended for use by Ambulance Tasmania staff when performing duties and delivering ambulance services for, and on behalf of, Ambulance Tasmania. Under no circumstances will Ambulance Tasmania, its employees or agents, be liable for any loss, injury, claim, liability or damages of any kind resulting from the unauthorised use of, or reliance upon the CPG App or the contents.  The CPG App is an uncontrolled copy of the applicable approved version which is published on the DHHS Intranet.  The mobile device versions are provided for the convenience of Ambulance Tasmania staff. In the event there is a discrepancy between a mobile device version and the approved version on the DHHS Intranet, the approved version shall prevail.
