BreastScreen Mobile Unit

The BreastScreen Tasmania Mobile Unit provides free, discreet breast screening service for eligible women in rural and remote areas within a fully equipped van.

It visits 17 locations around Tasmania.

BreastScreen regularly reviews demographics and participation in all areas visited by the Mobile Unit to ensure the service is fully subscribed and maximising the facility's capacity.  Due to changes in the demographics of the St Mary's, Bicheno's and Sheffield's catchment, the Mobile will not be visiting those areas this year.  Eligible women will be invited to make an appointment at the nearest location to their place of residence.

BreastScreen will continue to monitor the demographics of those areas and it is likely the Mobile Unit will return in the coming years.

For more information on the mobile unit or to make an appointment phone 13 20 50 (calls from outside Tasmania please ring 03 6216 4327).

Group Bookings

A group booking is a good way to travel together and to keep each other company for those women who would like to attend BreastScreen Tasmania with a group of friends, or who live outside of the main clinic areas or away from the mobile bus sites.

Please see information and group booking forms below.
