The MANual – a new men’s health initiative on cancer prevention and early detection
A new men’s cancer prevention initiative was launched on Thursday 4th June by the Minister of Health, Lara Giddings. This involved the launch of a new men’s booklet on cancer prevention and early detection called ‘The MANual’.
The booklet takes a light hearted but sensible approach to serious issues, offering practical advice on how men can look after their bodies. It uses the analogy of the body as a machine, like a car, that needs regular servicing and care to keep it in prime condition.
These resources will be distributed state-wide through sporting groups, service clubs, workplaces and men’s networks in general.
