Consider our variety

Fun on the Tasman Peninsula

Consider our variety

Our allied health staff are integral to the quality of a diverse range of health and well-being services across urban, rural and remote island settings. With the role they play at the heart of the community, our allied health professionals also enjoy a career that is extremely rewarding at a personal level. Allied health employment with us is characterised by strong team work and close professional relationships with peers.

Other benefits of working with us include the ability to provide continuity of care from a patients' acute presentation to discharge from hospital, or between hospital, outpatient and community settings and to contribute to health promotion and education programs.

As well as modern acute settings, we have opportunities in areas that include primary health care, health promotion, early childhood development and child health and disability services. Professional networks and service provision are enhanced and supported by modern telehealth facilities.

Our rural localities offer great diversity and the opportunity to actively contribute to strategies to improve the health and well-being of rural Tasmanians.  Allied health professionals provide outreach services through local multipurpose centres and units, community health centres and rural hospitals and individuals' places of residence.

Starting your career with us

A significant advantage of starting your career with us is the opportunity to develop extensive practical skills in a wide variety of practice settings. This experience can be gained through early exposure to a broad range of clients and environments or via structured rotations through work areas.  On the job experience is supported by training and development programs, and managers who balance the need for guidance and support with opportunities for innovation, flexibility, autonomy and scope to develop your areas of professional interest.
