Community Access Project

The Reform Implementation Unit has funded National Disability Services (NDS) to undertake a research project on innovative community access models for people with disabilities in Tasmania. The project outcomes will include:

  • A review of current literature and research into leading community access models internationally and nationally;
  • Forums with community service providers to discuss the project learnings and community access models; and
  • A final report which identifies innovative community access delivery models for consideration by the RIU.

NDS has employed a dedicated Project Officer to implement this project and a Community Access Reference Group has been established by NDS to oversee the project.
