Disability Services National Minimum Data Set (DS NMDS)

The Disability Services National Minimum Data Set (DS NMDS) is a national data collection undertaken by Australian States, Territories and the Commonwealth to provide a range of information about the provision of specialist disability services in Australia.

Information derived from the DS NMDS collection is available within a number of national publications including Disability Support Services (AIHW) and the Report on Government Services (Productivity Commission).

A key use of DS NMDS data within Tasmania is to assist with the development of services for people with disability.

DS NMDS Data Collection

In Tasmania, all funded disability service providers are required to provide DS NMDS data on a quarterly basis via the Tasmanian Disability Services Information System (TasDIS).
