New Child and Family Centres

Supporting the well being of children and families is a priority for the Tasmanian Government.

The new Child and Family Centres are a key strategy to meet this priority.

Child and Family Centres are multi-service centres which aim to meet the health, education and care needs of children from birth to school age.

They will also support families in their parenting role, strengthen local communities and offer pathways to employment.

Up to 30 Child and Family Centres will be established in Tasmanian communities over the next four years.

The Centres will bring services and agencies together.

The Department of Education is leading this process and more details about the Child and Family Centres can be found on their website at http://www.education.tas.gov.au/childandfamily
