The objective of the Quality Review and Improvement (QRI) Project is to develop and implement a robust and sustainable, multi-faceted, quality review and improvement system for Disability Services.
This system will encompass quality review and improvement processes for administrative functions and service delivery in both the government and non-government sector.
Tier 1 is a client and family satisfaction measure, and involves interviews with people with disabilities to gain their views as the primary consumer.
A family survey is also used to gain the views of family members or significant others.
The surveys are currently being conducted in groupings of like services in government and non government sectors (e.g. accommodation, respite and day options).
This will enable Disability Services to provide reports at the individual service provider level and at the service type level.
Three service-type reports are now available. These are:
Tiers 2 and 3 of the QRI Project are currently being progressed.
They encompass a series of targeted quality and safety audits and a sector wide focus on predefined quality improvement areas.
