2016-2017 Community Support Levy Grants Program

The 2016-2017 CSL Grants Program is now closed.

The 2016-2017 Community Support Levy Charitable Organisations Grants Program opened on Saturday 7 January 2017 and closed on Friday 3 February 2017.

Applications were invited for projects that maximise the health and well-being of vulnerable groups and communities. Up to $15 000 (plus GST) per organisation is available in this grants round.

The focus of the 2016-2017 grants round is building capacity in individuals, families and communities. Projects will build on the strengths of local communities to provide Tasmanians with opportunities for greater physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Eligible organisations were incorporated charities or not-for-profit community organisations whose dominant purpose is charitable, altruistic and for the benefit of the Tasmanian community. Organisations that provide a return to shareholders or partners were not eligible.

Grant funding was only considered for projects and activities that maximise the health and well-being of vulnerable groups or communities. Applicants were required to identify which group or community their project will benefit. Vulnerable groups and communities include those impacted by geographic, economic, health social or cultural disadvantages.

Only applicants that met the eligibility criteria and completed an appropriate 2016-2017 CSL COGP Application Form were considered for funding. Please note that organisations were limited to one application per organisation for this grants round.

Applicants were strongly encouraged to read and consider the 2016-2017 CSL Guidelines as part of preparing their application. The Guidelines include information about eligibility criteria, funding focus and preferences, as well as guidance around how to prepare and submit an application.
