Community Support Levy Charitable Organisations Combined Grants
2010 - 2011 Grants Program – Now Open
Applications close 5.00 pm, Thursday 31 March 2011.
Late applications will not be accepted.
Applications are invited for the 2010-2011 Charitable Organisations Combined Grants Program. Eligible organisations are charities or not-for-profit organisations working specifically for the benefit and well-being of the Tasmanian community.
The grants are made to help community-based charitable organisations with projects ranging from the purchase of equipment, promotional programs and activities through to large social projects. The program aims to foster community-driven responses to the impact of gambling within Tasmanian communities. Priority will be given to vulnerable groups and communities and those most at risk with electronic gaming machine gambling.
Grants will be offered in three categories:
1. Small grants (projects up to $3,000): Providing assistance to organisations for projects such as the purchase of equipment, publications, training and workshops.
2. Health and Wellbeing grants (projects up to $100,000): More substantial programs or activities at a local community level that promote social inclusion, provide healthy alternatives to risky gambling behaviour, and which promote health and wellbeing within communities such as community gardens, projects targeting vulnerable youth and risky behaviours, walking and fitness programs, and events and programs in isolated locations.
3. ‘Third Place’ grants (projects up to $500,000): Providing support to development of ‘Third places’ as anchors of community life and facilitate and foster broader, more creative interaction initiatives.
Please refer to the guidelines for more information about each category and assessment criteria.
