Concessions

The Government, through its agencies, provides eligible Tasmanians with a variety of concessions in the form of discounts, rebates, subsidies, Community Services obligations and Community Service Activities.

Concessions apply to a number of services provided by the Department of Health and Human Services. They are available to assist low income earners access quality health care and affordable housing.

Concessions are only available to eligible clients (details available via the link below), and are applied to services including:

  • Visual aids
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Patient travel assistance
  • Breast screening services travel subsidy
  • Community Equipment Scheme
  • Insulin treated diabetes
  • Orthotics/prosthetics
  • Breast prosthesis
  • Lymphoedema
  • Wigs
  • Enteral feeds and supplements
  • Home oxygen supplies
  • Continuous Positive Airways Pressure program
