National Diabetes Strategy and Implementation Plan 1998

The National Diabetes Strategy and Implementation Plan presents a population focussed, evidence based rationale with short and long term plans for reducing the personal and public burden of Diabetes in Australia to the year 2010. Since publication in 1998, many of the strategies have been successfully implemented.

National Diabetes Strategy 2000-2004

This document provides key information on diabetes epidemiology, the costs and associated issues in the community. It also outlines the mission, principles and goals of the Strategy and provides a strategic framework, which links proposed activities and performance measures to each goal.

An evaluation of the National Diabetes Strategy 2000 - 2004 is soon to be published with recommendations for establishing the National Diabetes Strategy for the next 5 years.
