Community Relations Unit

The Community Relations Unit promotes the RHH by creating an awareness and understanding of the organisation’s aims and activities within the Tasmanian community through collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, raising awareness and understanding of the RHH and improved communication with staff and patients.

The CRU also coordinates all media activity involving the RHH including collaboration with health stakeholders, community groups and benefactors to publicise events, clinical and scientific research and staff achievements.

The hospital’s official newsletter, Infocus is produced by the CRU and reports on the diversity of hospital activities to internal and external stakeholders.

The CRU also provides a professional publication, editing and design service in the development of public information materials, prepares briefings, supports the Hospitals Arts Committee, organises the annual Staff Long Service awards for continuous service, and undertakes a range of internal, hospital-wide awareness activities.
