The involvement of consumers and their family members and carers is recognised as essential in planning and delivering mental health services in Tasmania.
At both a national and state level the concept of consumer and carer/family participation is seen as a priority for mental health services.
Mental Health Services has engaged a Senior Consumer and Carer Liaison Consultant, to ensure the progression of consumer and carer/family participation in Tasmania.
The objective of the position is to enable the input and involvement of a consumer and carer/family perspective, systematically and strategically, into the planning and delivery of mental health services across Tasmania.
