Visitor/Mentor Program for Young People

Description: Children and Youth Services in the Department of Health and Human Services is seeking to engage an appropriately qualified organisation to develop and deliver a high quality state-wide program that assists young people in State care achieve personal goals and supports them to become successfully independent.

Development of long-term respectful mentoring relationships between young people and volunteer mentors will form the basis of the program.

It is envisaged that individuals between the ages of 15 - 18 years in State care will be the principal group who will be invited to participate in the new service in its initial stage. Participation in the program will be voluntary.
