The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking expressions of interest from the Tasmanian public for a consumer representative on the Tasmanian Pharmacy Authority.

The Authority has two pharmacist members and one member representing the interests of consumers.

The Authority regulates pharmacy business ownership and ensures public pharmacy business services are of the highest standard under the Pharmacy Control Act 2001.

The independent statutory authority meets monthly and this appointment is for up to three years.

There are no specific requirements for the representative, but legal or other skills relevant to Authority’s regulation are desirable.
