Agency Nursing Reference Group

Purpose

The Agency Nursing Reference Group (ANRG) is an advisory body that provides strategic advice through the Chief Nurse Officer, to the Agency Executive Committee (AEC) on whole of Agency professional nursing issues. ANRG also facilitates dissemination of information on strategic nursing issues.

Terms of Reference

The Agency Nursing Reference Group is a strategically focused advisory group, which:

  • supports and assists the Chief Nurse Officer in relation to the coordination of National and State nursing issues
  • is a source of advice concerning the development of whole of Agency policy in relation to strategic nursing issues at a State and National level
  • fosters an awareness and shares information concerning developments, achievements, research and issues concerning the nursing profession with a view to continual improvement in the provision of care to clients
  • is a source of strategic advice in relation to workforce planning, professional development, education and related issues, and
  • responds to requests from AEC for consideration of issues relevant to the nursing profession and provides regular reports of the activities of the Agency Nursing Reference Group.

Membership

The Agency Nursing Reference Group is chaired by the Chief Nurse Officer and is comprised of senior nurse representatives nominated by AEC.
