Obstetrics and Gynaecology Services - North West Regional Hospital, Mersey Campus
The Mersey Campus will continue to provide services for public and private patients by offering an ante-natal clinic during pregnancy, birthing and neo-natal care and Extended Care Midwifery Service (ECMS) for patients that meet early discharge criteria.
ECMS consists of midwives from the post-natal ward who visit families at home. An EMS midwife will try to see you on the ward before you go home. If not you will be phoned or visited within 24 hours of discharge. The ECMS midwives will be able to assist you and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Childbirth and Parenting Classes are also available.
A full range of gynaecology services are also offered at the hospital.
