The Lions Low Vision Clinic is a unit within the Royal Hobart Hospital Eye Clinic, specialising in helping people with poor vision make the best use of their remaining sight.
We carry a wide range of advanced magnifiers, both traditional and electronic, which are available for trial at home. In addition, we can do in-home visits to advise on lighting and safety around the home, arrange for assistance with orientation and mobility training, and help with other support services for the visually impaired.
Service Eligibility
Patients require a referral from their optometrist, ophthalmologist (eye doctor) or GP. Referrals can be downloaded via the link on this page.
