The Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) Physiotherapy Department provides acute and sub acute services to inpatients and outpatients of the RHH and its related outlying campuses.
Major functions of Physiotherapists at the RHH include patient assessment, treatment, care and discharge planning, student education, quality improvement and research.
Inpatient physiotherapy treatment is provided predominately at the bedside, on the ward or in a ward gym area. Outpatient services are provided at various locations across the hospital including specialist clinics and the emergency department.
Services are provided through the following clinical teams: acute rehabilitation, cardio-respiratory, geriatric rehabilitation, musculoskeletal, hands, burns & plastics, paediatrics, and continence & women's health.
The Physiotherapy Department is based on Level 2, H Block of the Royal Hobart Hospital.
