Free, independant and confidential advocacy service for older people, people with disabilities and their carers.
This service provides advice, information and advocacy to people who meet the Home and Community Care (HACC) criteria. This service aims to promote and protect the rights of HACC service consumers.
The service also receives funding from the Commonwealth's Residential Aged Care Program and therefore provides assistance to residents of nursing homes, hostels, carers and recipients of Community Care Packages.
Assistance includes referring residents and service users to appropriate agencies for help when necessary and advocate on their behalf for a satisfactory outcome.
The service has separate programs, which provide advocacy to people with disabilities and people with mental health disorders.
