Aged and Disability Care Information Service (ADCIS)

ADCIS takes an active role in providing information on services and resources existing in the community to meet the needs of the frail and elderly, younger people with disabilities and their carers. ADCIS publishes the ADCIS Directory on CD-ROM and the Internet. The Directory is an extensive resource that provides access to detailed information on a broad range of community and government services throughout Tasmania.

Primarily aimed to support service providers, the Directory is also available for anyone in the community to freely access information on:

  • health and support services;
  • social and recreational services;
  • educational and opportunities;
  • transport services and options;
  • government services and benefits;
  • accommodation/respite options;
  • assessment and rehabilitation; and
  • emergency services.

The Directory is also available on the Internet at: www.adcis.org.au

The CD-ROM version is available for a small subscription fee. Updates to the Internet version of the Directory are posted at six weekly intervals. The CD-ROM is issued twice a year.
