Tasmania’s public health service -Tasmanian Health Service (THS) expands the whole of Tasmania from Port Arthur and Bruny Island in the South to King Island and Flinders Island in the North.

Our nurses and midwives provide care across a wide range of facilities and services from acute hospitals to primary health: community and mental health. For more information regarding these sites, visit the links below:Coral Paton

Our nurses and midwives at THS provide the highest quality patient care through a person-first approach. Coral Paton (pictured right), is the Statewide Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery for the THS. Coral’s vision for Tasmania is to implement Magnet® Principles across the state and progress towards Magnet® Accreditation for the nurses and midwives at the THS.

“I encourage you to keep innovating, coming up with good ideas
and looking for ways in which we can all keep improving.”
