Your chance to make a real difference in the community
The Tasmanian Health Service - North West Region is an innovative and dynamic organisation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of our community.
We put our patients at the centre of everything we do. Our focus is on better linking hospital and community health services to ensure the care we provide our patients best meets their health needs.
We have over 1200 full time equivalent staff working together in multidisciplinary teams across our facilities, which include two acute hospitals, three district hospitals and seven community health centres.
We are also working in close partnership with general practice and other health and social care providers across the North West. Mental Health Services for the region will soon be provided from the Tasmanian Health Service - North West Region.
The Tasmanian Health Service - North West Region serves a population of over 100,000 and we face a number of challenges with high levels of chronic disease and an ageing population.
We meet these challenges head on by taking our services as close to people's homes as possible. We use the latest technology to increase access to specialty services for people living in rural and remote areas.
