Sector Development Fund - Requests for Proposal - NOW CLOSED

The Commonwealth Sector Development Fund (SDF) was established to assist the disability sector (including people with disability, their families, carers and service providers) to transition to the new arrangements for disability support under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) - Disability and Community Services (DCS) has secured $3.23 million in grant funding from the Commonwealth through the NDIS SDF for four projects to be implemented in Tasmania.

Requests for Proposal

The majority of funds secured by DHHS will be dispersed through DCS to organisations/consortia/consultants as grants through an RFP process for four projects.

The Requests for Proposal are open Saturday 18 February 2017 and close at 5:00 pm Friday, 24 March 2017.

The four projects and accompanying documentation are listed below:

Project 1 - Capacity Building for Providers: the establishment of an Expert Panel
($1.32 million)

Project 2 - Sector Workforce Development: increasing the supply and availability of an allied health workforce in regional, rural and remote areas of Tasmania
($200 000)

Project 3 - Individual Capacity Building:  developing resources that support people with disability to access mainstream and community services and improving access in regional, rural and remote areas through use of audio-visual equipment
($775 000)

Project 4 - Assisting people with disability who may not have engaged in services previously (‘hard to engage’) to participate in the NDIS through the development and implementation of engagement strategies
($510 000)
