Does my organisation need to use the TasDIS System?

If your organisation is required to collect DS NMDS information then you will need to do this via TasDIS. In limited circumstances, the Department may allow your organisation to collect the data in some other way.

My organisation is only small. Do we need to attend training?

Yes.  Regardless of organisation size, use of TasDIS is likely to require training.

What are the minimum system requirements that I need to run TasDIS?

TasDIS operates on internet technology and a therefore a minimum information technology environment is required. It is recommended that you use a PC consisting of Windows XP/2000/Vista/7, Internet Explorer 7.0+ and Broadband (256kb/s). TasDIS will work on other platforms but we cannot guarantee the performace and functionality of the application on these environments.

How do I get my password to log in the first time?

To obtain a username and password you will need to contact your nominated Agency Administrator. The Agency Administrator can create a user account on the system for you and this will automatically send you the password.

What happens if the agency administrator is away?

If you need to log onto the application and your organisation’s Administrator is away you can call the TasDIS helpdesk on 6166 3560.

I’ve forgotten my password and the system has logged me out.  What do I do?

To reset your password go to the application launch page and click on the 'Recover Password' hyperlink.  After filling out the required fields you will be sent a new password.

If you are still having problems please contact your nominated Agency Administrator. The Agency Administrator can create a user account on the system for you and this will automatically send you the password.

What if I am having other problems with TasDIS and the Agency Administrator can’t help me?
