Opioid Pharmacotherapy

This program is our treatment service for opioid dependence. We provide a replacement therapy for opioids supported by doctors and case managers.

Pharmacotherapy support is provided in all three regions of Tasmania. Clients receiving opioid substitution pharmacotherapy are managed by doctors in the Alcohol and Drug Service or by general practitioners within the community.

The program is provided mainly by community pharmacies, and a limited service via southern pharmacotherapy unit of the Alcohol and Drug Service.

How to access our services

For details on how to access services see the Alcohol and Drug Services home page.
