180 defibrillators to help save Tasmanian lives

Community groups throughout Tasmania can apply for an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) under a State Government program.

The AEDs are intended for not-for-profit groups and individuals to help save lives.

Factors including the location of the AED, how accessible it will be to the public, and whether it is registered as part of Ambulance Tasmania’s Early Access to Defibrillation program will be considered.

Successful applicants must agree to maintain the AED, which includes the cost of battery replacement and pads when needed.
